Jerrold Nadler is a good example of a "Deflector".  In Psychology it is someone who tries to make himself look as good as possible by making others look bad on purpose, regardless of the truth.   In this way, deflection can be a narcissistic trait. These individuals tend not to care who they might hurt in the process of deflection as long as they make themselves look good and get what they want.  Unfortunately, this seems to be a contagious psychological trait in the Democratic Party as they continue to accuse and and call for investigations of  Republicans for wrong doings they themselves are guilty of.  Hypocrisy is alive and well in the Democratic Party.
